Republic of Ireland midfielder Aoibhe Brennan has joined Women's Super League side Manchester City from Bohemians.
The 18-year-old has established herself with the League of Ireland club since joining from Shelbourne in 2024, making over 50 appearances for the Dalymount side.
Ireland manager Carla Ward has spoken publicly of her admiration for the midfielder and called her up to the senior squad last April. Injury prevented Brennan from earning her first cap in a pair of World Cup qualifiers against Poland, but she's already captained her country at Under-19 level.
City last year launched their Next Gen U21 team which competed in a 10-team northern edition, finishing fifth, and Brennan will join Izzy Christiansen’s squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
The Meath native will be under the watchful eye of Head of Academy Hannah Dingley, who started in the role after departing from the FAI last year.
Brennan said she had spoken to Christiansen, Dingley and former City player and current Ireland international Tara O'Hanlon, who earlier this month joined recently-promoted WSL 2 side Wolverhampton Wanderers after two injury-interrupted years with City.
