Deadline day saw Enzo Fernandez move to Manchester City from Chelsea for a British record £125m, with more than £500m spent by Premier League teams on the final day. Five players moved for fees in excess of £100m this summer, but which clubs spent the most?
Liverpool lead the Premier League for net investment, with a £219.4m net spend. The bulk of that investment was for Bradley Barcola, signed from Paris Saint-Germain for an initial £106m. Promoted Ipswich Town sit second as the Tractor Boys bought big in their bid to stay up.
At the opposite end, six teams ended the summer in profit. Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa both cashed in from record sales, as Elliot Anderson and Morgan Rogers moved for massive fees.
Chelsea, despite being the second-highest spenders in the Premier League, made the most money, with the West Londoners £67.3mm in the black.
