Mohamed Salah's start at Trabzonspor has already been full of twists and turns, with the former Liverpool star set for even more change on and off the pitch.

The winger called time on his nine-year stint at Anfield over the summer, announcing he would leave his contract a year early by mutual consent to seek a new challenge.

While plenty of clubs were touted with a move, it was Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor that won the race, hopeful that the winger could take the team to the next level in the coming months.

Salah was joined by Fabinho at the club, with the former Liverpool duo reuniting once again, while a familiar face to Premier League fans, Andre Onana, also made the switch.

The change hasn't stopped there, however, as Trabzonspor fell to defeat in the Europa League qualifying rounds at the hands of Ferencvaros, meaning the side had to settle for Europa Conference League action this season.

In light of that, the head coach, Fatih Tekke, has resigned from his post after an emotional message was sent to the club and the fanbase following an 18-months stint.

While all of those changes are being considered, there could be an old foe of Liverpool's who joins Salah and Fabinho at Trabzonspor: Richarlison.

After the Tottenham forward failed to make a move back to Everton, where he so often taunted the Reds, it seems as though his attention has turned towards a switch to Turkiye.

Journalist Yagız Sabuncuoglu reports that Richarlison has agreed personal terms with Trabzonspor over a move to the club, and is now pushing Tottenham to accept the deal and confirm his exit.

There are still two days remaining in the Turkish transfer window, leaving time for a deal to get done, but it's unclear whether Spurs will sanction an exit while a replacement can't be signed until January.

If a deal is agreed, it would end a run of Richarlison causing issues for Liverpool in the Premier League, having scored six against the Reds in 18 appearances - more than against any other side.

It could also boost Trabzonspor's chances of a successful season, following a slow start to the campaign with one win, one draw, and one defeat in the opening three matches of the league season.

It remains to be seen how things pan out, but it sets up a busy few days, even with the Premier League transfer window closed for the summer.
