Liverpool may have missed out on the signing of Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara, but they could snap him up in 2027 instead.
Liverpool linked with Camara move in 2027
It ended up being a deadline day to forget for the Reds, and in terms of midfield additions, a whole summer to forget!
Not a single player was added in that area, much to the chagrin of many Liverpool supporters, with Camara mentioned as an option.
According to BBC Sport, “senior figures” at Anfield are “content” with the midfield at Andoni Iraola‘s disposal, but that may change in the near future.
It is claimed that a permanent move for Camara could happen “in January or next summer,” with “no plan” to sign him or anyone in the window just gone.

This comes after The Athletic’s David Ornstein said that the 22-year-old was Liverpool’s “top choice” to replace Alexis Mac Allister if the Argentine had left this summer.
Not signing a midfielder seems bizarre, but Camara stands out as a great future option should reinforcements be sought.
Chelsea missed out on him at the eleventh hour on Tuesday, and Liverpool should look to beat them to his signature in 2027, giving them the defensive nous that they crave in midfield.

It is a challenging September for Liverpool, and Joanna Durkan has previewed the month ahead, including a return to Bournemouth for Iraola:
“The final match before the extended international break sees Liverpool make the long trip to the south coast as Iraola returns to the Vitality Stadium.
“Marco Rose is now in charge of the Cherries, and they have had a mixed start with a defeat at Man City and a draw against Everton from their first two games.
“They play in the Europa League on Thursday, which could benefit Liverpool, who will have a couple of days extra rest leading up to the match.”

On this day in 1913, Bill Shankly was born in Glenbuck, Ayrshire.
The Scot ended up becoming one of the most important people in the history of Liverpool Football Club, managing the Reds between 1959 and 1974.
Shankly won three league titles, two FA Cups and the UEFA Cup during his 15-year stay at Anfield, becoming an icon.
He remains a legendary figure to this day and paved the way for Liverpool’s dominance throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
