The Premier League summer transfer window is now closed, but Liverpool could still make moves over the coming weeks.
Liverpool reportedly made late push for Chelsea defender Malo Gusto and while Lamine Camara was offered to the Reds before the deadline, but neither deal materialised.

Aside from any free agents who catch Andoni Iraola’s eye, Liverpool will have to wait until January to make further signings. The Reds can still sell players, however, with several leagues around the world remaining open for transfers.
Liverpool have not had a recognised No.6 since Fabinho left in 2023. Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch both signed new long-term deals this year, while Alexis Mac Allister, who attracted interest from Manchester City, is staying at Anfield.
Iraola also has Wataru Endo and 19-year-old Trey Nyoni available. According to BBC Sport, any permanent move for a midfielder is understood to be more likely in January or next summer.
Liverpool did consider Camara, but there was no plan to sign a midfielder this summer. Camara was reportedly told to ‘wait’ for Liverpool after his proposed move to Chelsea collapsed on deadline day.
Despite Curtis Jones leaving Liverpool, the Reds did not sign a new midfielder this summer, with Nyoni instead expected to play a more prominent role this season.
Chelsea believed they were close to signing the 22-year-old Camara, but Monaco pulled out of the deal at the last minute, when Folarin Balogun’s failed medical stalled a transfer to Everton.
Balogun’s situation saw him remain at the French club until at least January, despite a written agreement for his transfer already being in place.
Chelsea were furious after allowing Enzo Fernandez to leave for Manchester City, but Monaco ultimately decided to block Camara’s departure.
Liverpool added Jeremy Jacquet, Victor Munoz, Ronald Araujo, Bradley Barcola, Lucca Brughmans and Samuel Martinez during the window. While Liverpool were not planning to sign Camara this summer, they could make a move for him at a later date.
