Richard Garlick has outlined Arsenal's ambitions beyond last season's title, including becoming serial champions and going further in Europe.
Arsenal CEO Richard Garlick says winning the Premier League has only increased the club's ambitions, with repeated titles and Champions League success now among the targets.
Speaking to Men in Blazers in an interview released just before the transfer window deadline, Garlick described Arsenal's 2025/26 title as the beginning of what those running the club hope will become a much longer period at the top.
There was time to celebrate. Garlick was part of the parade through North London and spoke about the scale of the reaction from Arsenal supporters both locally and around the world.
Garlick said Arsenal were determined not to treat the title as an end point.
“We are absolutely saying, we’re not done here. This is the start, not the end. We’re at the start of something big. We want to push on and win more and more. It is trophies, plural. It is absolutely trophies, plural [we’re after].”
Garlick's perspective stretches back to a very different point in Arsenal's recent history.
He joined in 2021 when the club were not playing European football. At that stage, returning to the Champions League was an immediate objective rather than winning the Premier League.
The Gunners subsequently returned to Europe's leading competition and moved into title contention sooner than Garlick says the club had expected.
“The ambition that the club has has always been there. We’ve always wanted to get back to the top, but get back to winning major trophies.
“When I arrived at the club, we obviously weren’t in Europe, and the first task was to get us back into the Champions League. And we did that, and then we pushed on, and we accelerated that success to the point where we were challenging for titles much quicker than we expected.
“Now we’re title winners. We’ve got to that stage. We just want to push on. We want to win more.”
Arsenal have spent this summer working from that position rather than treating last season's success as a reason to slow down.
Garlick's examples were not limited to transfers. He spoke about further investment in the men's and women's teams, new commercial partnerships, retail projects, work with supporters and plans to introduce safe standing areas at Emirates Stadium.
His description of the summer challenge was straightforward.
“We’re not going to sit here and pat ourselves on the back saying, ‘Yeah, we’ve cracked this. Let’s put our feet up.’ It’s actually, let’s go again.”

Mikel Arteta remains central to the plans Garlick discussed.
The Arsenal CEO called Arteta “relentless” and spoke about the support around the manager from his staff, the board and the ownership. He also revealed Arteta regularly exchanges ideas with LA Rams head coach Sean McVay, including conversations about challenges they encounter in elite sport.
Josh Kroenke was another part of Garlick's answer.
He pointed to the success enjoyed by other Kroenke Sports & Entertainment teams, including the LA Rams, Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche, and the experience the Gunners can draw upon from being part of that group.
Garlick believes continuity around Arteta, Kroenke and Arsenal's senior leadership is now useful in its own right.
“We’ve got in Mikel, that stability, that strength that we’ve had over the years, and he’s been part of that, obviously, along with Josh and other members of that team.
“And you can see now it’s come to fruition, and we need to build on that platform of stability that we’ve got. It gives us an advantage.”
The Premier League trophy has also given Garlick greater confidence about what the Gunners can target next.
He spoke about the club being back at the level where those running it believe Arsenal should operate, but his ambitions are not confined to defending the league title.
The Champions League featured prominently when he was asked directly what he wanted the coming years to look like. Arsenal reached the final last season but were unable to add the European trophy to their domestic title.
Garlick wants another opportunity, alongside repeated success in England.
“I dream of us being serial champions, of us repeating what we did last year and going one better, maybe in the Champions League and winning major trophies.
“This is a period of dominance. You could call it a start of a dynasty. This is what we’re aiming to do. We’re aiming to dominate football for the next few years on every front.”
