Liverpool chiefs have given their verdict on the summer transfer window after the club sealed four deals in a chaotic market full of different moves.

Liverpool's hierarchy is claimed to be pleased with the summer transfer window, with a belief that many of their objectives have been met over the past few months.
It follows a chaotic time for the Reds, which saw four signings make their way to Anfield, covering the backline, adding some firepower to the forward ranks, and future-proofing the goalkeeping options.
There have been mixed reviews from some onlookers, with belief that Bradley Barcola could make an impact, but confusion over the lack of business in other areas of the pitch.
The right-back position looks light, with issues for Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley over the past year, while the midfield has also come into focus for some pundits due to the current profiles available for Andoni Iraola.

The right-wing also appears to be light on options, with much of the roster geared towards the left wing instead, and a few failed pushes to land targets on that flank.
While those frustrations have mounted for fans, The Athletic reports that there is a disconnect between the outside view of the business and the inside view of the window as a whole.
It's claimed that senior figures believe the "primary objective" was met, with the belief that adding pace and quality in the wide areas was key after the exit of Mohamed Salah.
There is also confidence that Iraola can improve some of the options available at Liverpool, which should bring more value out of the team as a whole.

That is a key point for the head coach moving forward, because the Reds never got the value out of the huge fees paid last season for some of the players in the summer transfer window.
Stars such as Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, and Frimpong will be expected to improve over the campaign, following disappointing individual seasons last time out.
It is a task that Iraola is used to from his time at Bournemouth, with the manager being asked to deal with his squad being decimated through the transfer window on several occasions, but still building a team and improving players to continuing pushing forward.
That will require patience, as it did in his time with the Cherries, with two draws from the opening two seemingly exposing some of the problems he will need to fix early on.
It remains to be seen whether that time and patience will follow, with a few huge games coming up for Liverpool and the manager.
