Transfer noise continues to rumble on at Liverpool

While Liverpool will be looking to post their first three points of the season in Friday night's Premier League clash with Ipswich Town, the aftermath from a turbulent summer in the transfer market refuses to dampen. Questions continue to surround the business done at Anfield during the window.
The club's £123million signing of Bradley Barcola from PSG has done little to silence critics who felt key areas of the squad were left chronically short.
Andoni Iraola's engine room remains a source of concern, and a string of failed pursuits only deepened the sense that opportunities were missed. A move for Crystal Palace's Ismaila Sarr was explored but ultimately went nowhere.
The story of Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh proved similarly frustrating, with two formal bids submitted and two rejections received.
Nevertheless, today's developments see a potential future move for Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara gather momentum. Liverpool may also have been handed fresh optimism that a deal for Minteh could be revived.
Minteh future becomes clear
Brighton may have handed Liverpool a significant signal that they stand a chance of landing Minteh in the January window, or possibly next summer, following their late swoop for Femi Azeez from Millwall.
Liverpool had two offers, the largest at £60m, turned down for Gambian star Minteh as they sought to identify a successor to Mo Salah on the right flank.
Fabian Hurzeler's side completed a last-minute move for Azeez, via deal sheet, in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The 25-year-old is a right-sided winger who can also offer versatility across the forward line.

Brighton also brought in Nigerian teenager Zadok Johanna, aged 19, from Swedish outfit AIK earlier this summer, another wide player operating on the right. The dual acquisition appears to signal that Brighton are looking to shore up their options along the right flank, should Minteh depart in the near future.
With Liverpool's pursuit of Sarr failing to gain any real momentum, and Brighton seemingly bracing themselves for Minteh's potential exit, it is perfectly plausible that a deal to bring the Seagulls winger to Anfield could be revived in January or even during the summer of 2027.
New midfielder 'waiting' on move
Monaco's Lamine Camara has reportedly been assured he will land a high-profile transfer 'very soon' amid speculation linking him with Liverpool. The Anfield club also reportedly urged the player to 'wait' for them after Camara's £47.1million switch to Chelsea fell apart on deadline day.

Xabi Alonso's side had been keen to bring in a replacement for Enzo Fernandez, who moved on to Manchester City. Yet just hours after the deal collapsed, talkSPORT reported that Liverpool had made their interest in signing the midfielder next summer known to Les Monegasques.
The Reds are thought to have indicated to the player that a move could materialise in 2027. The same outlet also claimed that the Senegal international is being earmarked as a potential successor to Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.

Monaco sporting director Thiago Scuro has hinted that the club may be willing to part ways with their prized asset next year. He said: "I've been saying that our strategy this summer is very clear. We need to generate money, as we've been saying, pushed by regulations and by everything that we've been discussing over the last few years in terms of financial constraints in our league.
"We had a clear plan to talk about the two topics. We also made clear that our priority was to keep Lamine in the club. It's going to be his third season; normally, it's the cycle that we do. We try to protect also the performance, because the performance is strongly connected to the financial situation of the club as well."
