The likes of Cole Palmer and Moises Caicedo are not the only “untouchables” at Chelsea.
Back in June, it was reported that Chelsea have several players who have untouchable status at the club, meaning that they will not be sold.
The above includes Palmer and Caicedo, but it looks like the Blues also have a director who will not be allowed to join another outfit.

Chelsea have no intention of allowing Paul Winstanley to join another club
Paul Winstanley is one of five sporting directors at Chelsea and has received a lot of criticism from supporters since arriving at the club from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2022.
However, despite Chelsea having four more sporting directors and Winstanley receiving criticism, he is still valued very highly at Stamford Bridge.
In fact, according to The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur were interested in Winstanley last season as they searched for a new sporting director, but Chelsea were not willing to sanction a move at any price.
On paper, Chelsea have five sporting directors, including Winstanley, but each is thought to have a different responsibility at the club.
For example, Winstanley is said to be tasked with negotiating with clubs and agents and putting contracts down on the table.

For all the criticism that Winstanley and co have come in for, Chelsea fans will be happy with the work that they did during the summer transfer window.
The club brought in some very good players, such as Morgan Rogers, Maxence Lacroix and Emiliano Martinez.

Chelsea also set a record for money made from sales, raking in more than £500m if you include add-ons and loan fees.
Having failed to replace Enzo Fernandez on deadline day, it was not the perfect window. A lot of fans are disappointed with how Lamine Camara’s move to Chelsea collapsed. And while most of that frustration has been directed at AS Monaco, some supporters feel that the club should have had a replacement for Fernandez sorted much earlier.
But overall, it was a superb transfer window, with Winstanley having a role in the success Chelsea had over the summer.
