Arsenal chief executive Richard Garlick says the Premier League champions want to create a “dynasty” and become serial winners after another major summer of investment under Mikel Arteta.
Speaking in a new interview with Men in Blazers, Garlick made clear that last season’s Premier League title is being viewed internally as the beginning of Arsenal’s next phase rather than the culmination of their rebuild. The full interview has also been transcribed by Arseblog News.
His comments come immediately after Arsenal completed a summer in which their confirmed senior recruitment reached £198.5million, with Bruno Guimarães, Ezri Konsa, Piero Hincapié and Christos Tzolis among the major additions.

Richard Garlick reveals Arsenal’s huge ambition
Arsenal finally returned to the summit of English football last season after a 22-year wait for another league championship.
There was time to celebrate, but Garlick says the club quickly turned its attention towards what comes next.
The Arsenal CEO described the title as “the start, not the end” and said the ambition is now for “trophies, plural”.
That is a significant public statement of intent.

Garlick went further when discussing the long-term target.
He said Arsenal want to become “serial champions” and described the current period as potentially the “start of a dynasty”.
That sets a considerably higher bar for Arteta.
Winning one Premier League title ended Arsenal’s long wait. Building a period of dominance requires them to repeat that achievement while going further in Europe.
Arsenal came painfully close to adding the Champions League last season before losing the final to Paris Saint-Germain on penalties.
Garlick specifically referenced the possibility of going one better in Europe as part of Arsenal’s ambition for the coming years.

Garlick also gave an interesting insight into how Arsenal’s transfer operation now functions.
The summer plan is built through discussions involving Arteta, sporting director Andrea Berta, director of football operations James King, Garlick and co-chair Josh Kroenke.
However, Garlick explained that Berta and King take primary responsibility for opening contacts and conducting negotiations with other clubs.
Garlick can then become involved behind the scenes when financial, legal or club-to-club issues need resolving.
That provides useful context after Berta’s first major summer overseeing Arsenal recruitment.

Garlick also singled out Kroenke’s influence.
