The merits of Liverpool's summer transfer window are still up for debate. The Reds made six signings and saw eight players leave.
Some fans will argue areas such as the midfield, the right wing and right-back were all but ignored. On the flip side, four of the six arrivals can fight for a starting spot straight away.
Here, we rank Liverpool's six newest recruits as the dust settles from a frantic and highly disputable summer transfer window.

6) Lucca Brughmans - £30m from Genk (joins next summer)
The Belgian shot-stopper was courted by a host of clubs across European football but has signed for the Reds on a six-year deal. He won't join until next season.

Admittedly, it's tough for fans to conjure up excitement about the signing of a young goalkeeper on deadline day - especially when there are other areas of the first team that many feel have been neglected.
5) Ifeanyi Ndukwe - £2.6m from Austria Vienna (deal agreed in principle in January)
Ndukwe emerged as a major young talent during Liverpool's pre-season tour of the USA. Unfortunately, the 18-year-old centre-back has been forced to go on a season-long loan at Spanish side Levante due to work permit issues.

However, the young Austrian has demonstrated that he has what it takes to stake a claim for a place in Andoni Iraola's defence in the future.
4) Ronald Araujo - on loan from Barcelona
It's tough to judge Araujo on his brief cameos so far against Newcastle and Nottingham Forest. But he has looked suitably assured and has the attributes one would expect of a former Barcelona captain.

With the Uruguayan's ability to play at right-back, there's potential for Araujo to become quite an asset for Liverpool this season, given their difficulties in that position.
3) Bradley Barcola - £123m from Paris Saint-Germain
The big one. While Liverpool fans may have to wait until Friday evening to see Barcola in action against Ipswich Town, his signing represented a significant milestone for the club.
The £123m man is Liverpool's second most expensive signing of all time and is expected to bring a huge threat to the left flank.

While he's perhaps too high up in this list considering he's yet to take to the pitch for the Reds, Barcola's arrival, after a lengthy round of negotiations with PSG, has already given fans a huge lift.
2) Jeremy Jacquet - £60m from Rennes (deal agreed in January)
If the first two games of the season are anything to go by, Jacquet has been anointed as Virgil van Dijk's new centre-back partner. Dare we say it, he also looks like he could be the Dutch idol's eventual successor.

Assured on the ball, deft in the challenge with an eye for a pass, the 21-year-old has quickly emerged as a fan favourite in such a short space of time.
1) Victor Munoz - £34.5m from Osasuna
Munoz has started his Premier League career with a bang as he won the late penalty at Newcastle to rescue a 2-2 draw on the opening weekend of the new season.

He then lit up Anfield on Saturday as he smashed in the equaliser against Forest to earn Iraola's side another precious point. Direct, aggressive and fearless, the 23-year-old Spanish winger could be about to embark on a big future at Anfield.
