**Liverpool have already signed their right-winger and he is special.**
Richard Hughes tried to make two late moves in the transfer window.

He attempted to recruit Yankuba Minteh from Brighton and Ismaila Sarr from Crystal Palace.
Both Minteh and Sarr wanted to join Liverpool. However, in the end their moves were blocked by their respective clubs and their excessive demands.
Liverpool were quoted around £80m for Minteh. Meanwhile Palace wanted £75m for Sarr. Those were deals Liverpool thought it was simply not prudent to pursue.
So, the decision was made to keep Cody Gakpo at Anfield, which ultimately was the wisest choice the Reds could have made.
Whether future moves for Sarr or Minteh are pursued remains to be seen.
Liverpool will likely be looking to further bolster their attack.
Liverpool reject Yankuba Minteh for two reasons
-----------------------------------------------
The Gambian winger was probably the player most supporters wanted to see at the club over Sarr.
However, £80m would have been a lot of money to spend on a player. That was one of the primary reasons why Liverpool did not ultimately agree a transfer for Minteh.
The other major factor was Minteh's injury. He suffered a thigh problem in pre-season and he had to undergo surgery.
Right now it is estimated that he could return to action as late as mid-November.
By then, it will just be a few months until the January window at which point Liverpool could pursue a move for the attacker again.
A future move for Minteh cannot be ruled out. However, for that to happen other attackers will have to leave. Such as Federico Chiesa for example, who is still contracted to the club.
Liverpool have already signed a right-winger
--------------------------------------------
The club's hierarchy will have been relaxed and content with the decision not to pursue a move for Minteh because they have already signed a right-winger who is very special.
During the penultimate day of the transfer window Liverpool announced the arrival of Bradley Barcola.
Now many have proclaimed him to be a left-winger and that is correct as he has played over 9000 minutes in that position from youth level to senior level according to Wyscout.
But many have also overlooked the fact that he is a right-winger. He has played over 3600 minutes as a right-winger in his career and has 11 goals and 13 assists in that position, which is an impressive tally.
So, ultimately Liverpool will likely be using Barcola on the right, which means they have their right-winger and let's be honest he is a very special player.
