Everton owners seeking outside investment

**The Friedkin Group are seeking new investment for Everton after just two years.**

Dan and Ryan Friedkin replaced Farhad Moshiri in December 2024 with a buyout worth in the region of £330 million which also saw the club’s various debts repaid.

But the Americans’ popularity has suffered a nosedive after a chaotic summer transfer window which left David Moyes’ side with only one recognised striker.

A proposed £40M deal for Monaco’s Folarin Balogun collapsed at the 11th hour while Iliman Ndiaye was offloaded to Manchester City for a cut-price £60M fee.

Supporters have hit back at the hierarchy over a shambolic deadline day with [atmosphere group The 1878s standing down pre-match displays](https://www.clickliverpool.com/sport/everton-fc/67871-everton-fans-stand-down-displays-after-transfer-farce/) for home matches.

According to the Financial Times, the Friedkins are now exploring opportunities around external investors that could see them acquire a significant stake in the club.

However the move is not understood to be a sign of an imminent sale of the Blues, with TFG still expected to retain majority control at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Alongside Everton, the Friedkins also own AS Roma, who won the Europa Conference League in their first season, and Cannes in the French third tier.
