**Liverpool travel to Portman Road to take on Ipswich Town in the Premier League tomorrow evening.**
The Reds have played out successive 2-2 draws under Andoni Iraola and will look to register their first win of the campaign against the newly promoted side.
The Spaniard has a strong squad to choose from, with four new signings, including Bradley Barcola, who is expected to be available for the game.
However, the Reds will be without four key players and Iraola provided an injury update on each of them.
The likes of Joe Gomez, Giovanni Leoni, Conor Bradley and Hugo Ekitike haven’t featured this season as they continue to recover from long-term injuries.
Gomez trained in pre-season but was subbed off with an injury seven minutes into the first game, which came as a massive blow.
However, Iraola claims the England international is the closest to returning to action, while Leoni is also on the brink of sealing his much-awaited return.
“Closest one is Joe \[Gomez\],” said the Spaniard in his pre-match press conference.
“He will start training with us next week. Next one is Leoni; he could be training during the break with the group. Conor and especially Hugo longer.”
Liverpool could do well with Gomez and Leoni back as the former could slot in at right-back, while Leoni’s arrival will allow Iraola to rest or rotate Jeremy Jacquet and Virgil van Dijk.
