Mo Salah has returned to the UK for a momentous occasion. The former Liverpool FC forward departed the club at the conclusion of last season to embark on a fresh challenge with Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.
Salah's sister has announced that he has welcomed a son with his wife Magi. Salah, who transferred to Trabzonspor over the summer, traveled back to the UK for this incredibly special day, with the birth understood to have taken place in Liverpool.
His sister, Rabab, posted a photograph of a newborn baby's knitted hat, announcing her nephew's arrival. It comes as an old Liverpool foe is set to unite with Salah as a transfer from the Premier League to Trabzonspor has been agreed upon.
She disclosed the name as "Leil", which translates to "night" in Arabic.
Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan also shared the joyful news in a post on X.

In a statement translated from Turkish, he said: "After the Amed match, we had come abroad together with Onana and Salah. Twins were born to both of them-Onana's twins, and Salah had a baby boy. I congratulate their families and wives."
The Egypt international married his long-standing partner Magi Sadeq in 2013. They were raised in the same village and also attended Mohamed Eyad Al-Tantawi School together.
The pair already have two daughters, Makka, who arrived in 2014, and Kayan who was born in 2020.

Salah's family were regularly seen at the conclusion of each Liverpool campaign. He would frequently bring them onto the pitch following the final match, accompanied by his teammates and their families.
The former right winger confirmed his choice to leave the Reds earlier this year. In his farewell message, Salah characterised Liverpool as far more than simply a football club, describing it as a "passion, history, and spirit."
He reflected that he could never have anticipated how profoundly the city and its residents would become woven into his life throughout the past decade.
Salah's sister, Rabab, also posted an emotional tribute earlier this summer. She uploaded photographs from Anfield taken during the final Premier League fixture of the season.

She said: "I don't know if I'm supposed to be feeling today, but what I am sure of is that it's mixed, intrusive and wandering feelings.
"Pride, love, tension, anger and a lot of worry. It was a long, tiring, beautiful, nice, and difficult journey, all at once, I can't describe my feelings. Thank you for being, still are, and will continue to be, God willing, the pride of me and my children throughout my life."
The message added: "I love you very, very much my little brother who had my hand in his hand when we were young and when he grew up, he travelled when he was 12 years old, I remember my worry and fear that is still there to this day, as always, my feelings for you were different from worry, fear, stress, and thinking about you.
"All of this I was worried about more than the success that I have ever had. Appears and no one knows his background. May God protect you, preserve you, bless you and help you in what is to come, my brother, my life partner and my life partner."
Salah was one of Liverpool's most accomplished players. The Egyptian collected medals in the Premier League, Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, Emirates FA Cup, UEFA Super Cup, Carabao Cup and FA Community Shield.
Salah traveled to Turkey to finalize his transfer last month, first touching down in Istanbul for a medical assessment at Acibadem Maslak Hospital.
He subsequently journeyed onwards to Trabzon, where he received a spectacular reception from fans who assembled with flares, flags and fireworks to welcome the Egyptian well into the evening.
