Enzo Maresca's Manchester City era in the Premier League has gotten off to the perfect start with two wins and six points from a possible six after one home clash and an away trip under his belt in the Sky Blue dugout.
Starting the campaign off with a comeback win against Bournemouth, City then travelled to the capital to take on Pierre Sage's Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, showcasing their attacking furore at its very finest.
Coming away with three points and four goals in a 1-4 win against the Eagles, Rayan Cherki showed exactly why the Frenchman will once again be at the heart of everything brilliant in attack this season.
Erling Haaland also overcame his one-game goal drought in the 2026/27 Premier League season by notching an impressive brace, whilst Phil Foden recorded two assists to kick-start what he will be hoping is a season back at his blistering best for his boyhood club.
Now, ahead of the meeting between Manchester City and newly-promoted Coventry City managed by former Citizens midfielder Frank Lampard, the Premier League have now announced the list of match officials to oversee proceedings at the Etihad Stadium!

Match Referee
The Premier League have this week confirmed that 45-year-old match official Paul Tierney will be the man in the middle at the Etihad Stadium officiating matters between Manchester City and Coventry City.
The Wigan-born referee has so far taken charge of two matches across competitions this season, issuing a yellow card each in Everton's 2-0 home win over Crystal Palace on matchday one of the Premier League, and Middlesbrough's 3-1 victory over West Brom.
Manchester City are in fact Paul Tierney's most-officiated club in his professional career, taking charge of the Sky Blues on 33 occasions across all competitions, with City drawing just two and losing two of such games - winning 29 contests.
In matches involving Manchester City, Paul Tierney has issued 47 yellow cards to the Citizens and awarding them seven penalties, although is yet to hand out a second yellow card or a straight red card to the club.
Both of Tierney's meetings involving City last season resulted in 3-0 wins for Pep Guardiola's side; once against West Ham United on matchday 17, and the second being against Fulham on matchday 26 of the 2025/26 campaign.
Assistant Referees
Accompanying Paul Tierney at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon will be match officials Scott Ledger and Andrew Dallison, confirmed by the Premier League as the game's assistant referees.
Video Assistant Referees
Overseeing Manchester City against Coventry City from the VAR Hub at Stockley Park this weekend will be Video Assistant Referee Neil Davies, supported by Assistant Video Assistant Referee Steve Meredith.
Fourth Official
Standing between the two dugouts and managing matters involving Manchester City's Enzo Maresca and Coventry City's Frank Lampard will be referee Tim Robinson, appointed as the game's fourth official this weekend.
