After two draws in their opening two games, Liverpool will look to claim their first three points of the season when they face Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Friday night.
Andoni Iraola’s side must improve after consecutive 2-2 draws against Newcastle and Nottingham Forest. Liverpool also completed the signing of Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain shortly before the transfer deadline.

Meanwhile, Gary O’Neil’s Ipswich will be looking to bounce back from their 5-2 defeat to Manchester United. They started strongly and took the lead but were unable to maintain their momentum.
They will hope to replicate the performance from their opening-day 2-1 win over Sunderland. Ahead of Friday’s clash, O’Neil confirmed that his squad is in good health, with no new concerns following the defeat to United.
Florentino Luis is also in contention after missing the start of the season. Gary O’Neil said on Thursday: “Florentino is back; he’s trained this week.
“Azor (Matusiwa) back in training but he won’t be in the matchday squad tomorrow, it’s a bit too early. Jack Taylor is still out. Jaden (Philogene) a little too early this weekend.
“Alex Palmer still hasn’t trained fully, something with his shoulder. But nothing too serious and we expect him to be back around it soon.”
Emerson was substituted at half-time on Sunday, but Gary O’Neil has confirmed that he has made a full recovery during the week. They completed their transfer business on deadline day with the signing of attacker Zian Flemming from Burnley.
O’Neil added: “He (Emersonn) was in a lot of pain on Sunday; he had to come off as he wasn’t moving very well but the pain settled very quickly.
“It was just an extreme landing that jarred it a bit. But stuff like that can settle very quickly so the medical team did a great job with him.
“The training ground and new facilities have definitely helped with that as well. So his recovery has been excellent and no concerns about him this weekend.”
