Liverpool must revisit a move to sign Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr in 2027 after his manager, Pierre Sage, admitted that it would have been a dream move for him.
The Merseyside club were in the market to sign a new winger during the latter stages of the summer transfer window, even despite signing Bradley Barcola and Victor Munoz.
Liverpool failed to address small positions in the summer, including the midfield and the full-backs, but many were still expecting them to bring in at least one more forward.
Barcola was undoubtedly that one marquee signing in attack, but Munoz felt more like a market opportunity due to his release clause.
One player who was being linked with a move to Anfield was Sarr of Crystal Palace, but the Eagles stood firm in their evaluation and refused to sell.

That stance might not soften in the near future, but Liverpool still need to make a play to try and bring him to the club.
Liverpool could remain in the market for a new winger in 2027, and someone like Sarr would clearly be desperate to play for the club.
Speaking this week on Sarr's failed move to Liverpool, Crystal Palace boss Sage hinted that it would have been a dream move for him.
Sage is certainly suggesting that it's been a difficult period for Sarr, failing to get the move, claiming that he needs time to digest the situation.

Tempting Palace to soften their stance on Sarr leaving the club certainly won't be easy, but they could be helped by player power.
Sarr clearly wanted to make the move to Liverpool, given Sage's comments, and that could help the Reds when looking to secure his signature.
Whether Sarr is the answer to their problems remains to be seen, but the recruitment team clearly felt they wanted another winger, considering their pursuit of the Palace star.
A move for Sarr in the January transfer window might be difficult, but it certainly wouldn't be a surprise if they pushed again next summer.
