Estevao Willian could be growing impatient at Chelsea following the signing of fellow attacker Morgan Rogers.

That's according to Tim Vickery, with the Brazilian starlet facing new competition in his second season at Stamford Bridge.

It's not been an easy start for Estevao at Chelsea this season

After officially arriving from Palmeiras last summer, Estevao delivered a hugely impressive debut campaign in English football at Chelsea.

He played 36 times, scored eight goals and assisted four others as he turned into one of the most exciting Premier League prospects.

A hamstring injury ended his season early and he missed out on the World Cup with Brazil having looked set to be named in their squad.

Over the summer, Chelsea made the club-record £117million signing of Rogers, who is best friends with his England co-star Cole Palmer.

The duo started in their league wins over Fulham and Brighton, as well as the Carabao Cup victory against Luton Town.

Estevao on the other hand has earned just one start and, although it is still early in the season, the 19-year-old may just be slightly restless.

Has Estevao become 'impatient' at Chelsea?

Speaking to talkSPORT, South American football journalist Vickery addressed the potential unhappiness and said: "He chose Chelsea.

"It's the first real, genuine, Brazilian superstar to choose Chelsea over the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

"Maybe he just feels that he's fallen a little bit down the pecking order with Morgan Rogers, who is Cole Palmer's great mate, coming in.

"So, maybe there's a little bit of impatience there, we will find out.

Palmer and Rogers have become a go-to attacking pair at Chelsea

"It is a shame because he gave us some fantastic (performances)... the injury is unfortunate, because I wonder what he might have done at the World Cup because (Carlo) Ancelotti loves him.

"Running into that injury was a little bit unfortunate, but it's doubly unfortunate for me if Chelsea can't give him a regular gig because I think he's just a fantastic talent."

Rogers and Palmer success this season

With both players academy graduates at Manchester City, Rogers and Palmer reunited at club level when the former signed for Chelsea.

They made an excellent start to the season in the 3-2 win at Fulham as each player found the target, whilst Palmer also bagged an assist.

Rogers provided for Pedro Neto in the 4-3 triumph against Brighton, whilst his long-term friend scored a second.

It was a quiet night at the office for the pair when they hosted Luton.

Estevao will hope for more regular minutes as the season progresses

Instead, it was Estevao who impressed for Xabi Alonso's side as his shot went off Hakeem Odoffin for an own-goal during the 2-0 win.

Alonso is likely to stick with Rogers and Palmer playing alongside the in-form Joao Pedro when they visit Arsenal on Sunday.
