Liverpool's 25-man squad for the Champions League has been named, with Wataru Endo and Federico Chiesa not making the cut.
The Champions League regulations for squad registration require clubs to name eight locally trained squad members, leaving Andoni Iraola with some difficult decisions to make.
Liverpool's Champions League campaign gets underway next week as they host Atletico Madrid.
They then travel to LASK before games against Villarreal, Fenerbahce, Club Brugge, Porto, Inter, and Lens all follow.

As mentioned, Iraola would have had some tough decisions to make in order to meet the regulations for the Champions League registration.
Some young players, such as Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni, aren't included in the squad due to their age, but they will still be eligible to play.

According to James Pearce, both Endo and Chiesa have been left out of Liverpool's Champions League squad, but the injured trio of Giovanni Leoni, Connor Bradley, and Hugo Ekitike have all been included.
Endo and Chiesa might both be disappointed to have missed out, especially as Iraola has included three injured players.
Chiesa himself is carrying an injury at the moment, but nothing in comparison to Leoni, Bradley, and Ekitike.
Endo doesn't appear to be injured, having been on the bench against both Newcastle and Nottingham Forest in the Premier League this season.

There's no doubt Iraola would have wanted the likes of Chiesa and Endo involved in the squad, but the regulations force incredibly difficult decisions.
The likes of Bradley, Leoni, and Ekitike might be injured now, but the Liverpool boss will want them in the squad further down the line.
The squad is able to change at a certain stage in the competition, but clubs are unable to make any changes during the group phase.
For now, Chiesa and Endo will be forced to watch from the stands, and it wouldn't be a surprise if that's the case regularly in the Premier League too.
