Liverpool will host last season’s semi-finalists Atletico Madrid and travel to San Siro to face Inter Milan in their UEFA Champions League campaign.
The league phase draw was made in Monaco last Thursday, with Liverpool again welcoming Atletico to Anfield, where they won 3-2 last September.

The six-time winners will also host Porto, Villarreal and Lens. Away from home, Liverpool will face Inter Milan, Club Brugge, Fenerbahce in Turkiye and Austrian debutants LASK. The Reds were knocked out in the quarter-finals last season after losing to eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain.
The top eight teams in the final standings will advance directly to the round of 16 in March, while teams finishing ninth to 24th will enter February’s knockout play-offs. Teams placed 25th to 36th will be eliminated.
Federico Chiesa and Wataru Endo have both been left out of the Reds’ 25-man squad for the league phase. However, Giovanni Leoni, Conor Bradley and Hugo Ekitike have been included as they continue their recovery from long-term injuries.
Chiesa has missed Liverpool’s opening two Premier League games with a muscle injury. Endo, an unused substitute against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest, also misses out, with James McConnell preferred.
Academy graduates Luke Chambers and Isaac Mabaya are among the 11 defenders named. Leoni, Bradley and Ekitike are all expected to return later in the league phase.
Leoni could resume training later this month after almost a year out with an ACL injury, while Bradley has been sidelined since suffering a serious knee injury against Arsenal in January. Ekitike ruptured his Achilles against Paris Saint-Germain in April.
UEFA rules require List A to include at least eight locally trained players. Youngsters such as Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni can instead be named on List B due to their age. Liverpool begin their Champions League campaign against Atletico Madrid at Anfield next Wednesday night.
Liverpool’s 25-man squad: Alisson, Mamardashvili, Woodman, Jaros; Gomez, Van Dijk, Jacquet, Kerkez, Bradley, Leoni, Tsimikas, Frimpong, Araujo, Chambers, Mabaya; Wirtz, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Munoz, Gravenberch, McConnell; Isak, Gakpo, Ekitike, Barcola.
