FC Barcelona brought in some very high-profile players to strengthen their squad in the recently-closed summer transfer window, while also bringing in some promising talents. In this latter regard, there are two names in particular that are already exciting the fans, i.e., Hamza Abdelkarim and Jesse Bisiwu.
Both of these players have already shown their talents playing with the first team. Going forward, the 18-year-old Belgian is set to remain a part of the reserve team, but will get regular opportunities to train and play with the first team. However, his start to life at the Blaugrana club did not turn out to be very auspicious, as he suffered a stamp on his left ankle during the Copa Catalunya final between Sadabell and Barca Atletic and had to be stretchered off the pitch.
Fortunately, [Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20260903/1004222892/tranquilidad-lesion-bisiwu-pruebas.html) reports that the problem is not a serious one and Barcelona remain quite calm about the youngster’s situation. Detailed tests on Thursday showed that he was suffering only from the effects of a heavy blow, and has avoided serious injury. He will return to training shortly, but will still have to spend some time away from the pitch to continue his recovery.
After the game, Bisiwu was able to attend the closing ceremony, and also collected his medal, albeit by walking with crutches. Luckily, he has avoided serious injury, but would still be unavailable for Barcelona Atletic when they begin their league campaign in the Segunda RFEF with a match against Naxara. Going forward, it remains to be seen how his situation would develop and when he will return to availability for Juliano Belletti or Hansi Flick.
