Chelsea confirm 2034 deal for highly-rated Brazilian prospect

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of highly-rated Brazilian defender Denner from Corinthians on a long-term contract running until 2034.

The 18-year-old has now officially joined the Blues and will link up with the club’s Chelsea CNG development squad rather than immediately entering Xabi Alonso’s senior group.

Chelsea confirmed Denner’s arrival, describing the Brazil youth international as an attacking left-sided defender.

Denner joins Chelsea until 2034

Denner, whose full name is Denner Alves Evangelista Pereira, developed through the Corinthians academy in his native Brazil.

He caught the eye during the latest Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior as Corinthians Under-20s reached the final.

The defender contributed three goals and two assists during the competition and scored the opening goal in the final against São Paulo.

Denner has also already tasted international success.

He was part of the Brazil Under-17 squad that won the 2025 South American Championship, further strengthening his reputation as one of the country’s promising young defenders.

His first steps in England will now come within Chelsea’s revamped development structure.

ReadChelsea previously explained Chelsea’s decision to replace the traditional Under-21 and Under-19 identities with the new “Cobham Next Gen” setup, which is designed to bridge the gap between academy and senior football.

Denner becomes another example of Chelsea continuing to secure emerging talent on lengthy contracts.

The Blues also recently completed a £40m agreement for 18-year-old defender Honest Ahanor, who will officially arrive in 2027.

Denner’s immediate focus, however, will be establishing himself within CNG and adapting to English football as Chelsea assess his route towards the first team.
