Luka Doncic hosted the Los Angeles Lakers in Slovenia for an offseason minicamp featuring workouts, cultural activities, and charity visits. Kevon Looney highlighted the trip, calling Doncic a great leader whose character and winning mentality shone throughout.

One of the biggest stories this offseason was NBA team trips, that were organized by the star players and the most prominent example of this was the Los Angeles Lakers' trip to Slovenia, hosted by superstar Luka Doncic.
Veteran center Kevon Looney expanded on this trip and revealed what it showed about Doncic, that couldn't be seen before.
"I've been in the league for a while, and that was my first time doing something like that, to go into somebody's country and bring us all out there and spend that much time together. I never did that before," Looney revealed.
"So it just shows his character, showing that he really wants to win. He wants people to know his background, why he is, how he is. And I think we did a good job of that. He's a great player and a great leader, and he likes to show what he can do on the court. And we got to see his personality off the court. So it was great. We're gonna follow him."

Lakers trip to Slovenia
The minicamp that was organized and financed by Doncic combined basketball preparation and team-bonding activities.
The Lakers players held multiple workouts and also experienced Slovenia in their free time.
The group took a boat ride, ate in restaurants, visited historical landmarks, rowed on the famous Lake Bled and played golf.
The trip was concluded with a visit to a maternity hospital and pediatric clinic, where players greeted mothers with newborn babies and ill children.
