Newcastle United striker Nick Woltemade has joined Juventus on a season-long loan deal.
Nick Woltemade was reportedly offered to Barcelona before completing his deadline-day loan move to Juventus.
The 6ft 7in German has departed Newcastle United just 12 months after joining from Bundesliga side Stuttgart for a club-record £69million.
Woltemade enjoyed a bright start to his Magpies’ career, scoring seven goals in his opening 14 Premier League matches. However, since the turn of the year, his form has plummeted.

After going 14 games without a goal between late December and early February, previous boss Eddie Howe moved Woltemade into midfield but still struggled to get a tune out of the player as he managed just one further Premier League goal.
Fellow German Matthias Jaissle succeeded Howe as head coach last month and opted to sanction a loan move for Woltemade following the £51million arrival of Matias Fernandez-Pardo from French club Lille.
Woltemade came off the bench to register an assist in Newcastle’s first Premier League win of the season at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening, but there had been question marks over whether he suited Jaissle’s high-intensity style of play.
Nick Woltemade offered to Barcelona
Woltemade ended up joining Juventus on a season-long loan, which doesn’t include an option or obligation to buy, but before that was offered to Juventus, according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.
However, by that stage, Barcelona had already pressed ahead with the £8.6million signing of Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal.
The Catalan giants have already done business with Newcastle this summer, signing Anthony Gordon for £69million.
Nick Woltemade on joining Juventus
On joining Juventus, Woltemade said: “Of course, I'm really, really happy to be here. It's a big club. I'm excited for this new adventure, (to live in) another new country and play at the biggest club in Italy. I’m proud of myself, my family, my agency and all the guys at Juventus who made it happen.
“Last year, I changed to England. I can take a lot with me like physical-wise and also smartness in the game. I'm really happy to be in Italy to play in another top league at a really big club. This is a really nice point for me - I'm just to start.”
