The summer transfer window came to a dramatic close on Tuesday evening, with a number of significant Premier League signings coming in over the last week set to shake up our fantasy squads.
While the ins and outs are over until January for the top-flight managers, they're just getting started for FPL bosses. So who are the top five new signings to be considering ahead of Gameweek 3?

5th Place: Emi Martinez - Chelsea
Emi Martinez joined Chelsea from Aston Villa and looks to be an appealing fantasy prospect already. According to Fantasy Football Hub’s AI points predictions, only Arsenal’s David Raya is predicted to outperform him in the next six gameweeks, with these two facing off at the Emirates on Sunday.
Using transfers on a goalkeeper is unappealing, but Gameweek 3 and Gameweek 4 are key wildcard windows for fantasy managers, with even more set to be triggered around the international break following Gameweek 5. While I’d expect David Raya to be the best set-and-forget pick, Martinez could rival him at £1million cheaper.
4th Place: Nicolas Jackson - Aston Villa
Nicolas Jackson returns to the Premier League, moving in the opposite direction from Chelsea to Aston Villa, filling the void left by Ollie Watkins. His £6.5m price tag is a tempting entry point, especially for a striker from a team that has been finishing consistently in the European spots.
The concern is that Villa will be weaker given the headline departures this summer, including Watkins and Martinez, Morgan Rogers, Youri Tielemans and Ezri Konsa. Jackson is proven in the Premier League, hitting a minimum of 10 goals in his previous two seasons in a Chelsea shirt.
3rd Place: Enzo Fernandez - Manchester City

Manchester City finally got a deal for midfielder Enzo Fernandez over the line from Chelsea, with a record £125m move. He’s set to bolster the City midfield, where competition for spaces is high, with Elliot Anderson and Ayyoub Bouaddi also joining in this transfer window, following the departure of World Cup winner Rodri.
Fernandez has long been a solid all-round fantasy asset, with goals and assists in his armoury, including a significant threat from set pieces. He chalked up 15 goal involvements last season. If he can establish himself as a regular in Enzo Maresca’s side, with a pre-existing relationship, then he could be a formidable fantasy asset once again.
2nd Place: Daniel Munoz - Nottingham Forest

Daniel Munoz followed manager Oliver Glasner from Crystal Palace to Nottingham Forest on deadline day and will immediately be in fantasy managers' thoughts, with a price drop already this season too, down to £5.4m. He has the pedigree to be one of the most potent fantasy assets in the game.
Last season at Crystal Palace he chalked up eight goal involvements, playing as a wing-back in Glasner’s system. We expect Nottingham Forest to have good potential to keep clean sheets under Glasner in this campaign, without the distractions of European football.

Bradley Barcola was among the most significant signings at the end of the summer transfer window for £123m. The 23-year-old has been listed as a midfielder in FPL, priced at just £8m, which has immediately captured the attention of fantasy managers. He comes in £0.5m more than Florian Wirtz, and £1m more than Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai.
He amassed 11 goals in 29 starts for PSG last season and now provides significant competition for minutes in Andoni Iraola’s Liverpool attack. The manager has reassured us that he will be ready to make his debut against Ipswich Town this weekend, despite not featuring in any pre-season action, stating that he has trained.
