This will be the second season in which Women's Champions League will play a league phase rather than the group stage - following the lead of the men's tournament.
For those who follow the men's competition, it's a similar idea - but there are some changes.
There are half the number of teams, 18 rather than 36, which means there is no last 16 and teams play six matches rather than eight in the first phase.
Teams finishing first to fourth will automatically qualify for the quarter-finals, with the next eight teams - from fifth to 12th - facing off in two-legged play-offs to determine who will join them.
The sides from 13th to 18th will see their journey come to an end for the season.

The draw for the league phase of the Uefa Women's Champions League is taking place from 11:00 BST.
This will be the 18th edition of the competition since it was rebranded the Women's Champions League and the second since its expansion into an 18-team single league format.
Of the 18 clubs in today's draw, nine qualified automatically for the league phase while nine others have booked their place in the tournament proper after winning their third qualifying round ties.
They will be split into three pots based on their individual club coefficient ranking, with defending champions Barcelona marked the top seeds in Pot 1.
This season's final will be played at Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw in May 2027.
