Andy Gray returns to the commentary box for talkSPORT's Champions League coverage.
The former Aston Villa and Everton striker is one of football’s iconic voices and is best known for his commentary on the Premier League.

Gray featured alongside Martin Tyler in the gantry for 19 years and the 70-year-old will make a comeback in next Wednesday’s Champions League clash between Liverpool and Atletico Madrid at Anfield – kick off 8pm.
The show will be presented by Adrian Durham with Gray joining Jim Proudfoot on commentary duties.
It marks his first UK broadcasting role since 2014 and it’s fitting that his grand return will come at the home of the Reds.
Gray's finest moments on air
The Scot is fondly remembered for his memorable commentary on Liverpool’s win against Olympiacos at Anfield in December 2004.
Needing a win by two clear goals in the final group stage game to reach the Champions League knockout rounds, Liverpool trailed the Greek giants 1-0 at half time.
In the second half, Liverpool fought back with goals from Florent Sinama-Pongolle and Neil Mellor.
But with just four minutes remaining, Steven Gerrard unleashed a thunderous half-volley from outside the box to send Liverpool through.
And that led to Gray letting out a huge cry of: "Oh, you beauty! What a hit, son! What a hit."

His words became synonymous with Liverpool for the remainder of that season which saw the Reds go on to claim Champions League glory in Istanbul.
Gray is no stranger to the talkSPORT family having co-hosted a show on the station with Richard Keys – the last of which was aired in 2013.

During their time with talkSPORT, the duo scooped the Gold Award for Best Sports Programme at the Sony Radio Academy Awards during their debut year on the airwaves.
Gray’s return to commentary will not just be a cameo appearance with the Scot set to feature on selected commentaries across the season, adding to our stellar commentary team.
Last season, talkSPORT broadcast almost 500 matches to fans across its various platforms and Gray’s inclusion will further enhance coverage this time round.
The legendary commentator is known for his catchy phrases that later became widely used expressions.
Sayings like ‘Take a bow son’, ‘you just don’t save those’ and ‘acres of space’ were all derived from the ex-Scotland international during his years on UK television.
A glittering career
Gray enjoyed an outstanding playing career in England and Scotland with his most successful spell coming during his two seasons at Everton.
In his first season at Goodison Park, Gray helped fire Everton to FA Cup glory.
The following year, he played a key role in Everton’s sensational top-flight title win and European Cup Winner’s Cup double.
After retiring as a player in 1990, he accepted a coaching role at Aston Villa alongside Ron Atkinson but later resigned to focus on his television career.
Gray was always destined for a role in the media having worked as a pundit on ITV's World Cup coverage in 1978 and during the mid-1980s while he was still actively playing.
His big break with Sky came in 1992 where he became a household name and closely associated with the launch of the newly-formed Premier League.

Gray was offered the opportunity to take over as Everton manager in 1997 but turned it down to continue his work at Sky.
He ultimately lost his job in 2011 for unacceptable and offensive behaviour when an off-air incident involving female assistant referee Sian Massey came to light, for which he apologised.
In recent years both Gray and Keys have presented Premier League football coverage on Qatari network beIN Sports.
The pair left their roles at the end of last season.
When is Liverpool vs Atletico Madrid?
The game, live on talkSPORT from Anfield, takes place on 9 September at 8pm (BST).
Last season's league stage game was a thriller, with Liverpool initially throwing away a two-goal lead only for captain Virgil van Dijk to pop up with the winner in stoppage time in a 3-2 victory.
