Liverpool will aim to pick their first win of the season, and of the Andoni Iraola era, when they travel to face Ipswich Town in the Premier League’s first weekend kick-off.
The Reds, fresh from successive 2-2 draws in the opening two Premier League games, face Ipswich on Friday night. The Reds are expected to include summer signing Bradley Barcola in their squad for the first time following his transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.

Iraola hinted that £123m man Barcola will be fit for a spot on the bench, but is unlikely to start at Portman Road.
“He trained well with us,” the ex-Bournemouth boss said in his pre-match press conference. “If everything goes well [in] today’s training also, he will definitely be available for tomorrow, yes.
“I think he’s in a good place but we also have to consider that he hasn’t had the minutes in the pre-season games.”
However, Iraola confirmed the game comes too soon for the injured Joe Gomez or Federico Chiesa. The latter, along with Wataru Endo, was not named in Liverpool’s Champions League squad, but both are eligible to play domestically. Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni and Hugo Ekitike are long-term absentees.

Ipswich Team News
Like Liverpool, Ipswich could hand a debut to an exciting new attacking forward, following the arrival of Zian Flemming from Burnley on deadline day.
Another striker, Emersonn, should also be available despite coming off at half-time during Sunday’s 5-2 loss against Manchester United.
“He’s fine, he’s back, he’s trained this week,” said Ipswich coach Gary O’Neil.
“It was sort of an extreme landing and he jarred it a bit. He was in a lot of pain Sunday, wasn’t moving very well, but the pain settled very, very quickly.”
Florentino Luis also trained this week and could be involved, but O’Neil confirmed Azor Matusiwa, Jack Taylor and Jaden Philogene won’t feature this weekend due to injury.
