The NBA's investigation into Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers has resulted in some massive punishments.
Over the last year, the league has been investigating the Clippers for potential cap circumvention since Kawhi Leonard first joined the team in 2019, and the results, as outlined in Wachtell Lipton's summary report, found a pattern of misconduct and multiple significant rules violations by the Clippers.
To make matters worse for LA, they are repeat offenders, which is why severe penalties like the loss of five first-round draft picks and a $30 million fine were imposed. Steve Ballmer, Lawrence Frank, and Gillian Zucker all face major suspensions as well from Adam Silver and the NBA, but Leonard is walking away with just a slap on the wrist in the form of a $700,000 fine.
