Chelsea are back in Premier League action this weekend, but could have several players on the sidelines through injury. The Blues will make the trip to Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal in one of the most important fixtures Xabi Alonso and Co. will have this term.

Alonso has guided Chelsea to wins in both of their opening two Premier League matches against Fulham and Brighton, and will be determined to do so again when they face the defending champions on their home ground.

However, Chelsea are being forced to deal with some injury concerns going into the clash in north London, with Alonso recently providing an update on his squad.

Here, football.london takes a look at the latest Chelsea injury news ahead of their Premier League clash against Arsenal this weekend.

Moises Caicedo

Moises Caicedo could be available for Chelsea after suffering an injury during their win over Brighton last weekend.

Alonso stated in his pre-match press conference that further tests will be carried out to determine if Caicedo will be available for the trip to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

"We will check tomorrow. Tomorrow is the last session for the squad on Sunday."

Potential return date: Arsenal (A) - Sunday, September 6.

Jordan Henderson

Jordan Henderson is yet to make his first appearance for Chelsea after suffering an arm injury during the post-match celebrations following England’s win over Mexico at the World Cup.

The former Liverpool captain is getting closer to a return to action, with Alonso stating last month that Chelsea are waiting for Henderson to get the 'green light to play soon'.

Potential return date: September/October.

Marco Palestra

Marco Palestra is also yet to make his Chelsea debut after moving to Stamford Bridge from Atalanta during the summer transfer window.

The right-back picked up a knock during the opening weekend of the new Premier League season, but recently gave the Blues hope that a return is not too far away.

In an interview with Tuttomercatoweb Palestra said: "I’m fine, it’s still a few days away, but I feel much better."
