Coventry City manager Frank Lampard has stated that he is happy with the club's business this summer and is content with the squad that he has been left to work with for this campaign.
His side have begun the season with two losses in as many games, with no goals scored, in what has been a fairly unforgiving return to top-flight football.
The 48-year-old also outlined the importance of a strong mindset and how his players must look beyond previous results.
Speaking prior to his side’s clash with Manchester City, the Sky Blues boss has insisted that he is looking forward to pushing on, now that his squad is finalised.
Happy with the new arrivals
“I’m happy with the players that we have brought in," said the former City and Chelsea midfielder. “We had quite a lot of work to do in the summer.”
“So yeah, it’s nice from my point of view now that the window’s finished and we can focus on the squad.”
“We’ve had a good time together as a squad and as staff and now there are new players in and we want to continue that good time.”
He further added that he feels many of his players came into the season slightly under-prepared: “There are some players that we need to get up to speed and acclimatised to how we play.”

Team news boost
Welcome news was provided, though, as Frank Onyeka was declared fit and available for the game, whilst Sidiki Cherif is understood to be working towards match fitness.
Mentality the key at the Etihad
Lampard went on to emphasise the need for a change in mentality ahead of this weekend’s fixture against his former club: "It's important that we understand the rigours of the Premier League , how it may feel different and that mindset has to be clear on that to be able to get up after a difficult result like Hull in whatever way or shape it may come.”
