Xavi Espart is one player at the top of Barca’s list after making an impressive start to the new season under Hansi Flick.

The versatile youngster has already been promoted to the senior squad, and handed the No. 12 shirt, and can now expect an improved contract.

According to Diario Sport, Barcelona have already started talks on Espart’s new deal and also want to increase his release clause from €20 million to €150m.

Barcelona are also in talks with Brian Farinas, who has also been promoted to Flick’s squad for the 2026-27 campaign.

Farinas’ release clause is also set at €20m but will rise to reflect his new position as a first-teamer. Flick has made it clear how much he values the youngster and said recently that he deserves first-team minutes.

The news follows on from reports that Hamza Abdelkarim will also be handed an improved contract shortly. The club will also increase the striker’s release clause to €150m in a bid to ward off any potential admirers.
