Former Denver Broncos wide receiver Arthur Marshall has died after a long battle with stomach cancer. He was 57 years old.
Marshall was born in Hephzibah, Georgia, and played college football as a George Bulldog before signing with the Broncos. He signed as an undrafted free agent following the 1992 NFL Draft.
During his five-year career, Marshall spent two seasons with the Broncos, and three with New York Giants before retiring at age 33.

During Arthur Marshall’s short, yet impactful time with the Denver Broncos, he quickly became Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway’s No. 2 wide receiver. In his first season in 1992, Marshall tallied 26 receptions for 493 yards and one touchdown.
While impressive for an undrafted free agent, Marshall also delivered one of the longest touchdown passes by a non-QB as a rookie. In Week 14, Marshall threw an 81-yard touchdown pass to teammate Cedric Tillman against the Dallas Cowboys, tying the record for longest pass by a non-QB until 2003.
After two seasons, Marshall recorded 54 receptions for 853 yards and three touchdowns in 32 games with the Broncos. He also threw two touchdown passes and returned 33 punts for 349 yards and eight kickoffs for 132 yards during his time in Denver.
