GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Green Bay Packers running back has seen next court hearing on battery and property damage moved up by two months.
Online court records Friday showed Jacobs will make his initial appearance next Thursday, Sept. 10, instead of November.
The court also received a request Friday for _pro hac vice._ That would allow an out-of-state lawyer to temporarily practice law where they aren’t licensed.
The charges stem from a fight between Jacobs and his girlfriend on May 23. Charges weren’t filed until late August.
Jacobs is currently barred from practicing or attending games under the commissioner’s exempt list while the case proceeds. He can attend non-football activities such as individual workouts and meetings.
The Packers’ regular season opens Sept. 13 at Minnesota, three days after the hearing.
