**The Liverpool faithful have had one name on their lips this past week: Bradley Barcola.**
The French international has been the talk of the town after his big-money move from PSG and his arrival certainly adds another dimension to Andoni Iraola’s attack.
Barcola is on the bench for Liverpool as the Reds aim to ease him into the fray.
And ahead of the game, Iraola’s comments prove that his newest recruit has already caught his eye.
“Yes, it was tempting,” said Iraola before the game when asked if he considered starting Barcola.
“He looks good in training but hasn’t played any minutes in pre-season, we will definitely use him in the second half but with some precaution. It makes sense to have him on the bench.”
Barcola trained with PSG as talks with Liverpool over his transfer continued, but he didn’t feature in any of their games before his move.
So the fact that he was even considered for a start, despite only being at the club for a few days, is proof that Iraola has seen some good things.
It’ll be interesting to see how he fares if he gets his debut, but the nervous excitement is starting to kick in, that’s for sure.
