A summer defined by frustration and intense anticipation marked Andoni Iraola’s first transfer window as Liverpool manager. Though the Reds boss, 43, missed out on a new right-winger to replace the departed Mohamed Salah, the club managed to confirm one final addition just days after the deadline closed.
In total, Iraola welcomed three new first-team signings in Victor Munoz, Ronald Araujo, and Bradley Barcola, while also handing a debut to Jeremy Jacquet, who was originally recruited under Arne Slot.
All is not lost for the Spaniard when it comes to acquiring a new forward, however, as Iraola has been handed a potential lifeline to clinch the signing of a key target come the January transfer window.
Minteh hint made

Iraola had appeared close to landing Yankuba Minteh as his new right-winger last month, but Brighton stood firm in their determination to retain their prized asset. The Seagulls knocked back bids of £50million and £60m from the Reds, with the 22-year-old remaining at the Amex Stadium, at least for now.
The Spanish manager has been given fresh encouragement that Minteh could depart Brighton, after boss Fabian Hurzeler hinted that the Gambian international may be allowed to leave in the winter window.
The 33-year-old said: "If the whole team is successful and the individual shines then Yankuba will get a lot of attention again and he can then maybe fulfil his dream in the next transfer window."

The Bradley Barcola saga and the general chaos of Deadline Day may have left some supporters feeling bewildered. However, the Reds received welcome news following the September 1 deadline, confirming that an agreement had been reached to sign Djylian N'Guessan.
The news was officially confirmed on Friday, with the Saint-Etienne forward, 18, set to complete a permanent switch to Liverpool in January in a £4.3million deal. The teenager will spend the 2026/27 campaign on loan at Ligue 1 side Stade Brestois.

N'Guessan has featured 13 times for Saint-Etienne, netting once, and represented France on seven occasions during their run to fourth place at last year's U20 World Cup.
