Manchester United fans are feeling confident ahead of Sunday’s trip to Everton, with plenty of supporters on RedCafe.net expecting Michael Carrick’s side to leave Merseyside with all three points.
Everton’s disaster of a transfer window has clearly caught the attention of the opposition, with the departure of Iliman Ndiaye featuring prominently in the discussion.
One United supporter, ron86, is expecting a comfortable afternoon:
“I think we have Far too much for Everton, even away from home. 0-2 win”
There is also an expectation among some United fans that the mood inside the Hill Dickinson Stadium could play into their hands, particularly if the visitors get off to a good start.

“Hopefully a toxic atmosphere if we score first or dominate the play. Everton fans are really pissed off.”
The loss of Ndiaye has understandably been picked out as a positive for United, although one supporter believes Everton could still pose a threat from set pieces.
Oscar Bonavena said:
“Everton losing Ndiaye in the window is a boost for us as he was a dangerous player for them. But their threat is obviously going to come from set pieces especially after seeing what Hull did to us. Everton’s conduct at corners last season was a joke, Lammens was being practically pushed over the line rugby style. Hopefully the ref clamps down on that early.”
That view of Everton’s summer business is shared by Jeffthered, who was particularly critical of the Blues’ transfer window:
“Everton are rubbish and are all over the place following a dreadful transfer window. They have lost arguably their best player (I do like Dewsbury-Hall…) so I expect us to beat them, convincingly.”
GDaly95 also believes the timing of the fixture is favourable for United, pointing to Everton’s performance against Bournemouth and the departure of Ndiaye.

“I’m quite confident. I watched them against Bournemouth and thought they were very poor. Ndiaye looked bright particularly in the first half but that’s irrelevant now, and as their best player he is now gone. I don’t see other players in their attack that really worry me. Their two centre backs will throw themselves in the way of things, but honestly that’s about it. Seems like they had a shocking window, a shocking deadline day. Everton fans aren’t happy with the owners, Moyes looks miserable as well. It’s a good time to play them and we should win.”
And then, because no opposition fan forum would be complete without someone bringing up an old Everton-related sore point, Annihiliate Now! had this suggestion:
“Everton should sign free agent Martial, play him in this game, and he’d score an own goal, such is his need to score against Everton”
From our perspective, the hope is United’s confidence proves premature – and that the Blues can give their visitors something rather different to talk about after Sunday’s game…
