Madison Beer is enjoying some major highs in her personal life and her career. She announced her engagement with Los Angeles Chargers star quarterback Justin Herbert earlier this year, posting a joint photo carousel on Instagram to share the news with their fans.
"Meet my fiancé," the post was captioned as the two took the next step in their relationship after first being spotted together in the summer of 2025. The 27-year-old is peaking on the career front as well, with her third studio album, Locket, released in January 2026, and a Grammy nomination.
However, it hasn't always been smooth sailing for the singer who was discovered at only 13 years old. She opened up about some of the darkest moments of her life in a candid interview last year—and even talked about feeling suicidal and fighting to find something to live for. This comes as the net worths of Madison Beer and Justin Herbert were revealed.
The "bittersweet" hitmaker's early trauma stems from when her nudes were leaked online when she was 15, after she had garnered a reasonable amount of fame.
"The boy who the whole nude situation happened with, he reached out to me and was like, 'I had no idea that I hurt you like this. I’m so sorry,'" she said in an interview with Cosmopolitan last year, revealing how she felt both betrayed by a former romantic partner and shamed by the internet for sharing the explicit Snapchat photos.
And the apology came long after Beer had suffered through the trenches of online shame and humiliation.

"I tried to go the other way and kill myself, and don’t get me wrong, I still have those moments. But I was like, 'I need to first prove all these people wrong. And second, maybe I can help someone out there who sees themselves in me in any way,'" she said.
"I like to think that everything I went through and continue to go through is because I’m strong enough to survive and tell the story," the 'Make You Mine' singer added.
She said that despite healing and moving on from the debacle, she believes she didn't deserve to go through it.
"As much as people mistreated me, who I really have a bone to pick with is the internet. I recently saw this video someone posted on TikTok from when I was 13. It was my first time on a TV show, and I sang a song that I completely botched the ending of," she recalled.
She added that she scrolled down and saw vicious comments like "I didn't know it was possible to get ear cancer" and “Oh my god, this girl sucks.”

"I don’t give a f--- that I’m a public figure or that I put myself out there. You don’t treat children like that," Beer remarked.
She also shared that she tries "to be a joyous person that's loving life and has more empathy than judgment."
The singer noted, "Even for the people who almost bullied me into killing myself. We’re alive for a short period of time."
