On Friday the **UEFA Women's Champions League** draw was made and **Barclays Women's Super League** champions **Manchester City** learnt they'll be facing **PSG**, **Bayern Munich**, **Real Madrid**, **BK Hacken**, **FK Austria Wien** and **Inter** in this year's League Phase.
**_The Blues_** return to the top table in European football for the first time in two seasons, since their **3-2 aggregate quarter-final defeat** at the hands of **Chelsea**.
City won the first leg **2-0** at the **Joie Stadium** thanks to a brace from **Vivianne Miedema**. However, City's aggregate lead was wiped out by half time in the second leg at **Stamford Bridge**, with **Sandy Baltimore**, **Nathalie Björn** and **Mayra Ramirez** on the scoresheet for the West London side to send City crashing out.

The Manchester City boss who led his side to **WSL** glory last season gave his reaction to the draw in his press conference on Friday afternoon, as he prepares to face **Birmingham City** on Sunday in the opening game of the season.
He said: "There will be a lot of questions, are you pleased with the draw? It's almost like if you look at the teams that you can play it's like when are you pleased and when are you not pleased. So my feeling is it's definitely challenging games, and also exciting for our home fans to see some great teams coming here."
"We are travelling to Sweden and playing in Sweden, I like that, so it's great and I'm really really happy that we are in this tournament again, which we definitely deserve, so looking forward to those games."
"It's an opportunity for more players to get minutes to play against the highest level of teams in Europe, an opportunity for the squad rotations, an opportunity to challenge yourself against other good teams, so challenges yeah, but mostly opportunities I would say."
