Kieran Morrison continued his impressive start to life at Sheffield Wednesday as the Liverpool loanee played a starring role in Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Peterborough United.
The Owls travelled to the Weston Homes Stadium looking to maintain their strong start to the League One campaign, having already secured victories over Bromley and Wycombe in their previous two league outings.

Sheffield Wednesday had also scored 11 goals across their opening four league matches and entered the contest sitting second in the table with nine points.
Henrik Pedersen’s side ultimately secured another valuable three points, with Morrison increasingly establishing himself as an important part of the team.
The 19-year-old completed his first full 90 minutes of the season, underlining the growing trust being placed in him following a gradual increase in his playing time.
According to FotMob, Morrison was the highest-rated player on the pitch, receiving an impressive 8.1 rating for his performance. He also registered an assist, taking his tally to two assists in his last five appearances for the Owls.
The performance represents another encouraging step in Morrison’s development.
His minutes have increased game by game since arriving at Sheffield Wednesday, and the Liverpool academy graduate is now beginning to look increasingly comfortable competing regularly at senior level.
Morrison’s loan move to Wednesday for the season was an important one for both player and club.
After enjoying a brilliant campaign within Liverpool’s academy last season, the winger made the move to Yorkshire in search of the regular first-team football that would allow him to continue his development.
That opportunity is now beginning to arrive.
Morrison had previously featured from the bench during Wednesday’s victories over Bromley and Wycombe, while his involvement has steadily increased throughout the opening weeks of the campaign.
FotMob’s records show his League One minutes had already risen from 21 against Bradford to 29 against Bromley and then 74 against Wycombe before Saturday’s first 90-minute outing.
Now, after another influential display and an assist in a valuable away victory, Morrison is giving Sheffield Wednesday supporters plenty of reason to be excited about what could be a very productive loan spell.
