Arsenal's squad numbers for the 2026/27 season have been confirmed and there are plenty of changes. Mikel Arteta's side has gone through somewhat of a clear out over the summer, with eight senior stars leaving the club permanently.

There have been incomings, too, with more than £200million spent in the summer transfer window. Bruno Guimaraes, Ezri Konsa, Piero Hincapie (loan turned permanent), Christos Tzolis and Illan Meslier have all joined the Gunners in recent weeks.

All five of the new arrivals have been allocated their Arsenal squad numbers. Guimaraes opted to take the no.39 jersey, which he has worn throughout his career in tribute to his father, whose taxi donned the same digits when he worked in Brazil.

Konsa will wear no.15 after his £55million move from Aston Villa, with the number previously donned by Jakub Kiwior, who made his loan move to Porto permanent this summer. Hincapie continues with the no.5 from last season which he wore while on loan from Bayer Leverkusen, while Tzolis has chosen no.17, previously owned by Oleksandr Zinchenko and perhaps more famously Alexis Sanchez and Emmanuel Petit.

Meslier, who will be the club's third-choice goalkeeper this season, has picked no.30, last worn by Raheem Sterling in 2024/25. Of course, the outgoings mean a number of numbers at the club are now vacant. Gabriel Jesus' deadline day move to Barcelona means no.9 is currently up for grabs, while the same goes for no.11 after Gabriel Martinelli's move to Saudi Arabia.

Kiwior, Christian Norgaard and Leandro Trossard’s exits have left 15, 16 and 19 available, while 21, 22, 24 and 31 are also vacant following the departures of Fabio Vieira, Ethan Nwaneri (loan), Reiss Nelson and Karl Hein.
