The past few months have witnessed a series of changes at the Etihad Stadium, including Enzo Maresca taking charge as their new head coach, notable departures of Bernardo Silva, John Stones, and Rodri, among others, and several major arrivals like the club record signings of Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea (£125 million) and Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest (£116 million).
Overall, Manchester City have completed 48 transfers, including loan moves, in the summer transfer window.
The days leading up to the transfer window deadline saw City more focused on securing signatures to strengthen their frontline, including pursuits of Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo and Iliman Ndiaye from Everton, especially following the departures of Savio and Omar Marmoush (loan).

The Senegalese attacking winger underwent his medical assessment and signed a five-year contract with Manchester City for £65 million on the transfer deadline day. He will don the number seven shirt, previously worn by Raheem Sterling and Stephen Ireland, among others.
After joining Everton from Marseille in 2024, Ndiaye featured in 74 matches for the Toffees, registering 17 goals and four assists.
