Liverpool are among the clubs that sent scouts to Paris to watch Lamine Camara play PSG as AS Monaco secured a surprise 2-1 win over the Ligue 1 champions.
A report this weekend claimed that Liverpool have an agreement with the 22-year-old midfielder on personal terms for a potential January transfer to Anfield.
Camara came within touching distance of a move to Chelsea, but AS Monaco interrupted his medical with the Blues to stop a last-minute move to Stamford Bridge, which Chelsea officials described as unprofessional.
Liverpool told Camara to wait for them until January, when they will reportedly make their move to sign the €70m-rated midfielder.

Now, it seems they are paying particularly close attention to his performances in Monaco as they plan a move to sign him in the winter window.
Premier League giants in attendance as Camara stars in 2-1 win over PSG
According to a report from TEAMtalk‘s Graeme Bailey, Liverpool and several other Premier League clubs had scouts in attendance to watch Camara as he and his AS Monaco teammates beat PSG 2-1 on Friday night.
Bailey reports: “A number of Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Liverpool, were present in Paris on Friday evening to watch Lamine Camara play a significant role in Monaco’s impressive victory over Paris Saint-Germain.
“We can confirm that Liverpool remain long-term admirers of Camara and were also present at the Parc des Princes on Friday to watch him in action. Liverpool have maintained an interest in the midfielder and, with Camara now back on the radar of several leading Premier League clubs, his situation is one they continue to monitor closely.
“Sources have also confirmed that Arsenal and Manchester City were present at the game, meaning four of the Premier League’s biggest clubs were represented in the stands as Camara produced one of his most eye-catching performances.
“Camara’s representatives are now focused on determining the best route for his next move, with the current expectation that he will remain at Monaco for the time being before looking to secure a departure in 2027.”
Camara was sensational against PSG
If there was a game to watch Camara, it was the PSG game.
Not only did Monaco win, which is a good reflection on the midfielder, but he was in brilliant form.
He recorded a 92% pass accuracy (35/38) and covered 12 km, but his defensive work is what Liverpool fans will be keen to see added to their midfield in January.
He made 9 defensive contributions, 7 tackles, 1 interception and 6 ball recoveries, but his battling for the ball is what is so encouraging.
Camara won 12 of his 20 ground duels and committed just one foul!

For reference, Ronald Araujo won the most duels of any Liverpool player against Ipswich Town, and he won six out of six of his ground duels.
Camara won 12 out of 20.
This is the kind of fighting spirit that has been missing from Liverpool’s midfield.
Dominik Szoboszlai won zero ground duels, attempting just one. Alexis Mac Allister won three out of five. Camara won nearly as many ground duels as the entire Liverpool team did against Ipswich.
Signing him for €70m (£60m) would be an absolute bargain.
