Indiana wide receiver Charlie Becker has quickly become one of the most interesting prospects for the 2027 NFL Draft.
Becker entered the 2026 season with high expectations after helping Indiana win a national championship. Now, NFL scouts notice his standout qualities and consider him a top receiver prospect for next year’s draft.
Becker is already off to a great start in 2026, catching four passes for 64 yards and two touchdowns from new quarterback Josh Hoover in a 52-16 rout of North Texas. CBS Sports reporter Matt Zenitz took notice of one of Becker's touchdowns and reports that NFL scouts praise the Hoosiers star's catch radius and route running. They also highlight his impressive speed for his size. Zenitz notes that Becker stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 207 pounds. Some scouts believe he could be as fast, or even faster, than his former Indiana teammate Omar Cooper Jr.
Cooper ran a 4.42-second 40-yard dash at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, demonstrating the level of athleticism scouts expect from Becker.
Zenitz also predicts Becker could be the second wide receiver selected in the 2027 NFL Draft.

Becker’s 2025 season backs up that prediction. He caught 34 passes for 679 yards and four touchdowns. Impressively, he averaged nearly 20 yards per catch. Late in the year, he raised his level of play. For example, he delivered a 126-yard game against Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship.
Becker combines size and speed with a knack for making tough catches. Additionally, he delivers in clutch moments. Indiana quarterbacks target him often because of his physical tools, reliable hands, and competitive drive. Not surprisingly, defenses must prepare for him every week.
With an expanded role in 2026, Becker can turn his standout skills into big numbers and show he ranks among the best receivers in the 2027 NFL Draft.
