TOMLIN IN NEW AD
The last few weeks, Pittsburgh Steelers and NFL fans have seen a different side of Mike Tomlin. From dancing for a TikTok in the NBC Studio to now starring in advertisements, Tomlin is embracing his new role with Football Night In America. The latest ad is a new take on the Geico Hump Day adverts to promote the New England Patriots – Seattle Seahawks matchup on Wednesday.

Tomlin will be on the air and on location for NFL’s opening game at Lumen Field on Wednesday.
STEELERS SEND SCOUTS TO LSU
The Steelers had scouts on hand for LSU’s 51-10 thrashing of Clemson on Saturday night, per Ryan Fowler of NBC Sports Philadelphia. Delayed due to weather, LSU rolled from start to finish against a Clemson team that did not look good and may struggle in the ACC this year. Among the notable draft prospects at LSU include QB Sam Leavitt, who the Steelers also scouted last season at Arizona State, as well as EDGE Princewill Umanmielen, OT Jordan Seaton, and S Dashawn Spears, among others.
EDGE Jordan Ross is also a potential riser in this class, and he had a sack, four tackles and an interception against Clemson.
Clemson WR T.J. Moore and DE Will Heldt are among their prospects, though there wasn’t much worth watching on the Clemson side as Lane Kiffin’s LSU debut was a total blowout.
ROGER GOODELL EXTENDED
The NFL compensation committee, led by New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, agreed to terms on an extension with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to extend his contract through the 2030 season. It’s a four-year extension for Goodell that will end when he’s 71 years old. ESPN’s Adam Schefter was among the reporters to announce Goodell’s new extension.

The NFL has grown significantly under Goodell, including the league’s sale of NFL Network to ESPN, among his latest moves to put more money in owners’ pockets. It’s not a surprise to see him get extended as the league looks to tackle possible expansion, as well as potentially adding more games over the coming years.
