After a tense stalemate in the opening half of our Barclays Women’s Super League curtain raiser, second half goals from Mary Fowler and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw provided the perfect entertainment as City picked up three points.
The day also provided extra special moments as we celebrated Lauren Hemp’s 200th appearance for the Club, making her the fourth player to reach a double century.
And we also saw debuts for summer signings Beth Mead and Carlotta Wamser.
From fireworks to our two trophies to magical match highlights, our first game on home soil provided plenty of moments to cherish as we fight to retain the league title.
