Arsenal’s Champions League squad has been confirmed ahead of Wednesday’s league-phase opener against Napoli, with Mikel Arteta naming 22 senior players for the 2026/27 competition.
UEFA’s official Arsenal squad page includes all of the club’s major summer signings, including Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze, Bruno Guimaraes, Ezri Konsa and Piero Hincapie.

The list gives Arteta considerable senior depth despite Arsenal registering fewer than the maximum 25 List A players.
UEFA rules permit clubs to name up to 25 players on List A, but eight positions are reserved for locally trained players. If a club cannot satisfy all eight locally trained slots, its maximum usable List A size falls accordingly.

Arsenal summer signings all included
The biggest takeaway is that Arsenal’s major summer recruits are available for the league phase.
Gyokeres is registered after arriving to strengthen Arteta’s centre-forward options, while Eze and Guimaraes add further quality in midfield and attack.
Konsa and Hincapie are also included defensively.
That depth could become important immediately against Napoli following Sunday’s demanding 2-1 victory over Chelsea.
Havertz has started all three Premier League matches so far and scored against his former club, while Gyokeres has been restricted to substitute appearances.
Wednesday therefore gives Arteta another major decision over who leads the attack.
Injured Arsenal players remain on UEFA list
Being registered does not automatically mean a player is fit to face Napoli.
Saliba, Timber and Mosquera all appear on UEFA’s list despite recent injury concerns.

Timber has returned to training but missed Chelsea, while Mosquera was also absent from Sunday’s squad.
Their involvement in training before the trip to Italy should provide a clearer indication of whether either can feature.
Can Arsenal add academy players?
Yes.
UEFA allows clubs to use a separate List B for qualifying young players.
List B can be amended throughout the season and must be submitted by 23:59 CET on the day before each match. Clubs can register an unlimited number of eligible players through that list.
To qualify, players generally need to have been with the club for the required period from a young age and must meet UEFA’s age criteria.
That means academy players do not necessarily need to appear among these 22 senior names to feature during Arsenal’s Champions League campaign.
It is particularly relevant for players such as Max Dowman, who UEFA have highlighted as one of Arsenal’s major young talents after he became the youngest Champions League player last season.
Any Arsenal List B additions for Napoli should therefore be treated as a separate team-news development once confirmed.
