Fantasy Premier League has gotten off to an odd start. With teams such as Hull City rocking the apple cart and the likes of Tottenham Hotspur underperforming, players have been forced to adjust their squads on the fly.
But who have been the five highest-scoring footballers in FPL so far this season? The results may surprise you – this list contains no players from league leaders Arsenal!
It does, however, contain players from clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United – before we begin, can you guess who they are?
Rayan Cherki
After a disappointing individual campaign at the World Cup, Rayan Cherki has gotten the 2026/27 Premier League season off with a flyer at Man City.
He’s scored 25 points from his opening three games, on account of notching up two goals and two assists. Furthermore, he has also collected a total of four bonus points.
Perhaps even more impressively, Cherki has yet to play a full 90 minutes for City this season – he didn’t even make the starting XI in their opening game.
Semi Ajayi
Yes, we’re as surprised as you are. Veteran centre-back Semi Ajayi has scored more points in FPL so far this season than players such as Bukayo Saka, Joao Pedro and even Erling Haaland.
Hull City have yet to concede a goal thus far in the Premier League season. Ajayi has been a key component in their success, using all of his experience and instincts to command the Tigers’ backline with ferocity.
He also scored a goal against Manchester United in their inaugural game of the season to boost his score even higher – all in all, he has 25 points at this stage.
Konstantinos Tzolakis
If we’d have asked you to guess which club had two players on a list such as this three weeks ago, would you have said Hull? No, of course you wouldn’t, but here we are.
With 26 FPL points on the board, Konstantinos Tzolakis is the third-highest scoring player thus far and the highest-scoring goalkeeper by a considerable margin.
On top of this, he is the only ‘keeper who has three clean sheets from three games. For how much longer can he keep it up between the sticks for the Tigers?
Bruno Fernandes
Bruno Fernandes is on this list for one reason – gameweek two. He could only muster a total of four points from gameweeks one and three, but ran rampant in his second outing of the campaign.
All in all, Fernandes has 27 points under his belt thus far. Anyone who captained him in gameweek two took home an absolute boon, but he has been disappointing outside of this.
If Bruno can achieve a level of consistency, he could well win the Premier League Player of the Year award at the end of the season once again
Cody Gakpo
We didn’t expect to see this. Cody Gakpo was often scapegoated by Liverpool fans last season for their overall poor performance, but the Dutch international has been sensational thus far in 2026/27.
Registering a goal contribution in all three games, he has a total of 28 points in FPL. With one goal and three assists, he has quietly been a top star for the Reds thus far.
Despite being on the cusp of moves to Tottenham and Manchester City in the summer, he ultimately remained at Anfield – the Reds have reaped the rewards.
