The first round qualifying ties took place from Friday to Sunday, contested entirely by non‑league clubs from across the English football pyramid - specifically teams from Steps 2 to 6 of the National League system. A total of 122 ties were scheduled in the first round qualifying, with 55 of them ending level and requiring replays.
The second round qualifying stage now brings together the winners from the weekend along with a fresh batch of clubs entering at this level.
